In May 2014 ICSC Ukraine Research Group, which consists of experts from leading companies of developers and consultants: JLL, CBRE, Colliers, group of companies «Budhouse» and Immochan, headed by Dmytro Topolskov – director of Ukrainian Research Bureau, representative of group of companies «Budhouse», started its work on the classification of shopping centres in Ukraine.
ICSC Ukraine Research Croup established in June 2013 as a part of International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) for the study of the Ukrainian market of shopping centres and standardization of data.
Earlier, the National Committee ICSC in Ukraine raised the question of the practical need to classify existing shopping properties in Ukraine in accordance with the international classification ICSC of shopping centers.
Thus, the goal of ICSC Ukraine Research Group is to prepare and submit the systematized information about existing shopping facilities in Ukraine to the global community of retailers and developers, which will help to understand the existing proposal and attract new international investors and retailers.
At this time, the experts of ICSC Ukraine Research Group are in the process of creating a single database of shopping facilities in Ukraine, bringing together the existing database of developers and consultants, and carry out the classification on the basis of the received data.
The next step is to confirm the data with owners of shopping objects and shopping centres and put on the list the categorized shopping centres in ICSC database.
